Sanicula arguta, known commonly as the sharp toothed sanicle, is a native Californian species. Sanicula arguta is a perennial herb. Sanicula arguta flowers are yellow, with a bristly stem (1). Sanicula arguta grows in open grassy and rocky slopes. It has a turnip like, thick taproot (2). A taproot is the main root in the root system.
