The Nature Center at Coal Oil Point Reserve is open to the general public on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Nature Center docents open/close the building on the first Saturday of the month (and for tours by appointment), greet visitors, interpret exhibits and offer additional information about the reserve. Both volunteer opportunities and paid internships are available in this program. Paid internships are generously funded by UCSB Coastal Fund and all UCSB students are eligible to apply.
If you are interested in becoming a docent at the COPR Nature Center, please contact Jessica Nielsen at copr.conservation@ucsb.edu
